Elaine Nsoesie is a Professor at Department of Global Health at the Boston University. Previously, she was Assistant Professor of Global Health at the University of Washington, a postdoctoral research fellow at HealthMap, Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Elaine Nsoesie is interested in the use of digital data and machine learning to address global health problems. She develops statistical and computational approaches for integrating digital data with other data streams for surveillance of infectious and chronic diseases.
Her current research is focused on surveillance of foodborne illness and unsafe foods, addressing bias in digital data, and exploring the use of big data to study the health of women and girls.
