AMLD Africa Connecting Africa’s AI community

What started at EPFL in Switzerland has grown into an expanding AI community in Africa.

Since its launch in 2020, AMLD Africa    has brought together researchers, startups, students, and innovators from across the continent to explore applied AI, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

Driven by EPFL students and alumni, the initiative reflects AMLD’s mission to expand access to AI knowledge, amplify African talent, and support innovation across the continent.

Today, the initiative has hosted four editions across Africa and continues to grow its reach, community, and impact each year.
